Materials and Finishes

White surrounds and other painted surrounds are manufactured from high quality medium density fibreboard.

Oak surrounds are produced using first quality kiln-dried American Oak and can be finished in Light, Medium, Antiqued Medium, Medium/Dark, Dark, ‘Black Ash' or Limed.

Tulipwood from North America is chosen for its clear grain and stability to recreate the appearance of Victorian Pine and can be finished in Standard or Antique Waxed 'Pine' finish.
American Basswood may also be used as an alternative to Tulipwood.

Pine is available as an option on certain surrounds but due to its inconsistent qualities we can offer no guarantee on its future performance. Please confirm before ordering.

Solidwood Mahogany, Teak or Antique Yew finish refers to surrounds made from timbers similar to Mahogany This may include Mahogany for the immediate future but if environmental
issues, availability or price prevents its use, then we will use an alternative timbers.
