For many years now I have had a dream to bring a Dobermann
in from abroad but always family and work commitments have come first.
I was always concerned about do you do this? Then after many enquiries to
quarantine centers, I found the whole procedure straightforward, thanks to
the help and knowledge of Paul and Lynne at Yorkshire Quarantine. They advised
me on what to do etc and the end result is that I have now purchased Forto
Betelges (Gino) to my delight.
Unfortunately due to the laws, Gino has to be in quarantine for 6 months,
this was one of my biggest worries, a dog in there for all of that time what
would he be like? After several visits now to Yorkshire Quarantine I can
leave without any worries whatsoever about Gino being there. Lynne and Paul
and all of their staff give 110% commitment to the welfare of Gino and all
the other dogs and cats in their care. They are totally professional in all
they do, down to what I wish to feed him, any personal preferences I have
for him, basically what I wish for with Gino is no trouble to them.
All the organizing for the import of him was done for me, I just had to let
quarantine know the date, time and flight number and they sorted out all
of the paperwork, customs and even the collection of him from Heathrow. I
did not know what to expect when I first went to see him, after all he was
just 10 weeks old and he had traveled miles by plane and by car to get to
his destination, but after a lot of tender loving care from the quarantine
staff he had already settled in by the first day.
I would like to take this opportunity just to thank Lynne & Paul
and all of the staff for making Gino feel very welcome.

Hi Lynne and Paul
I just wanted to express my thanks to you both and say how impressed
I am
by
the devoted attention given to my imported Greyhound and her eight
pups
whelped at your quarantine kennels. I have imported dogs in the past
but
the
individual care and professionalism given by you and staying with
my bitch
throughout the night while she was whelping plus all the added extras
of
photos of proud mum and pups, reports on weights and general progress
and
worming etc. has impressed me greatly and I will have no hesitation
in
using
your kennels again and recommending you highly to all my friends.
Again
thanks,
Tony Gallagher
When the war broke out in Iraq, a few of us that lived in Saudi
Arabia
were
very concerned about our pets as quite a lot of the airlines refused
to
fly
out livestock at that time. On recommendation from a friend who used
the
Yorkshire Quarantine kennels we contacted them and got our cats booked
in
not knowing how we were going to get our cats there or what they
were
going
to.
The Yorkshire Quarantine Kennels could not have been more helpful
and
in my case they even sent the licence out to me by DHL which I
received in
about 24 hours. Their kindness and advice was invaluable in helping
me
and
my friend Linda Glynn to get our cats out of Saudi. The kennels
met them
all in Manchester and drove them to the kennels where they were
all looked
after so well. They have just all spent the last six months there
and
have
now arrived home to their homes in UK looking great. My two cats
Jeeves
and
Friday were even driven up to Scotland for me by Dawn, Lynne and
Paul's
daughter which is no mean feat. I was delighted with their condition
and
they have not suffered one little bit from being in quarantine
for the last
six months.
I cannot thank Lynne and Paul enough for taking loving
tender
care that one step beyond. Nothing has been too much trouble for
them and I
know if the cats could speak they would tell me that they enjoyed
their
'holiday'. I could only manage to visit the cats once during
their stay
and
that was after three months and I could not fault the care and
love that
they had been given by the lovely staff and nothing was too much
trouble for
Lynne and Paul. Thank you all from all of the 'Saudi' cats and
the kennels
will be recommended to anyone else out there who are thinking
of sending
their cats back.
